The premium tier is what costs money: it adds the AI Coach — talk to it, snap a photo of your meal, and it does the logging and connecting for you. The free app has everything; the Coach just does the work for you. We hope to keep its price low while still paying our people and our affiliates very well.
Affiliates earn from premium: every person you bring starts with three full weeks of premium, free, automatically. When they keep it after the trial, a percentage of what they pay is yours, for as long as they pay. Free signups build your list of people; premium is where the earning happens.

I'm Keslie. GeneClue is the first product of Heretically Empowered, a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation — mission-first is in our legal charter, not just our marketing — because the health system failed people like us and someone had to build the thing that actually sees us. I'm chronically ill myself. This app exists because I needed it.
And one thing from my own life: I've been burned by MLMs. The big promises, the income charts that only the people at the top ever actually reached — I believed them once, and I remember how that felt. This program is built to be the opposite. One level, nothing to buy, no quotas, and honest numbers even when they aren't flashy. I don't need affiliates to make me rich. I need the people who need this app to find it, and I want the people who help that happen to genuinely do well.
Straight truth about where things stand: I'm new at this, and I haven't gotten legal guidance on pricing yet. That's why there's no percentage on this page — I won't invent a number to sound good. My pledge is that the rate will be fair and generous to you, and you'll see it before anyone pays a dollar. I won't promise details I don't have yet. That's the deal I'd want, so it's the deal you get.
And here's what I'm building toward for the people who build this with me — said as hopes, not promises, because that's what they honestly are today: I want to treat GeneClue affiliates better than any company has ever treated theirs. Health care support. Retirement support. Maybe even stock options someday. As the company grows, we all thrive together — as the CEO, I will see to it.

How many of your people will actually go premium? Typical freemium apps convert 2 to 10 out of every 100 free users. But our setup stacks the factors that measure highest: AI features (apps with them convert about 50% better than apps without), a three-week trial (the exact length industry data says converts best), a community with an ongoing need rather than a passing wish, and people arriving through someone they trust instead of an ad. So our honest hope is well into double digits — and instead of promising, we'll publish our real conversion numbers to affiliates once we have them. Nobody else shows you that. We will.
And when we run specials: if we ever discount premium to grow the community, your commission is still calculated on the full standard price. The discount comes out of our side, never yours.
1. Your code is yours, assigned once, never reused. Everyone who joins through your link or names you at signup is recorded under your code, permanently. Attribution is locked once recorded; corrections for genuine mistakes go through us by hand. Codes can't be changed — but if yours ever needs to be retired (a rebrand, a name change), contact us and we'll issue you a new one; your old links keep working and keep counting for you.
2. Commissions are a percentage of what your referred users actually pay, beginning when they pay. The exact percentage will be set when pricing is set, before launch, and shown to you before it applies. No payment of any kind is promised or owed before then. If we discount premium in a promotion, your commission is calculated on the standard price, not the discounted one.
3. There are no signup fees and no quotas, ever. One requirement: to receive commission payouts, keep your own GeneClue premium account active — we want affiliates who actually use what they share. As a founding affiliate, your first year of premium is free. If you stop sharing, you just stop — whatever the rate turns out to be, it still applies to everyone you ever brought.
4. Two rules always: say you're a GeneClue affiliate when you post about us, and never make health, treatment, or diagnostic claims. The full do's and don'ts, with examples, are in your Affiliate Starter Kit.
5. You can leave anytime, no reason needed — and if someone seriously or repeatedly breaks the rules, we can end the relationship. Either way, if your affiliate account closes, your recorded people are released and free to connect with another affiliate.
6. Before launch, everyone gets a full plain-language agreement with the exact commission rate in it. This page is the deal between us until then.
7. Before any payout, US affiliates provide a W-9; we issue a 1099 for earnings of $600 or more in a year, and we'll help you through that process.
